First check
The main task of Secur360 Driver Updater is checking your devices for new drivers. It compares your installed drivers with our database to find outdated ones. Afterwards new drivers are downloaded for your outdated devices and installed automatically. This process includes these three steps:

  • First check
  • Results
  • Update

The result of the driver check is presented as a list. Devices with a necessary update are at the top of this list. Each entry contains name and class of the device as well as date of the installed driver. If an update is necessary the date of the newest driver is also shown here. Colors on the right are used to show how important an update for each driver is. The button “More info” additionally contains the manufacturer of the driver.

The button “Update” inside of each list entry starts the download of the respective driver. If you want to install all drivers at once, you can use the “Update all” button in the lower right. Single drivers can be excluded from the list by pressing the “Skip” button. They can be restored in the setting under Exclusion list.
After the update of your chosen drivers is completed, the system should be restarted. This is important to ensure the proper installation of all drivers.

Device driver backup

Creating backups of your installed drivers is especially important. If any problems occur, you can just revert to a prior state. You can either recover all drivers at once or choose single drivers (experts only). After you have chosen one option the backup is started through clicking the “Backup now” button. The process can be stopped by clicking the “Cancel” button. To change the system path where the backups are saved go to Setting > Folders.

Device driver restore

Device driver restore contains a list of all drivers you have backed up before. Each entry represents a single driver with its name, class, version and date of the backup. Single drivers can be restored by pressing the respective “Restore” button on the right. To delete a backup, press the respective “Delete” button. After you are done restoring drivers the system should be restarted to ensure proper installation.
